In year 2003, CMC established project office in Tehran, for the implementation of 77 Tehran Metro Cars’ Project. Up to November 2006, one CBU train-set and three PLB train-sets have been delivered to the client一TUSRC and put into operation. The remaining seven PLB train-sets are scheduled for delivery to TUSRC before the middle of 2007.

While the fulfillment of the A/M project, CMC developed the other business in the fields of railway, coal mine and ship-building, car-making, etc. The close relationship with RAI, IMPASCO, IRISL, IRANKHODRO and other governmental or private companies were established as well. The business for supplying passenger coaches, freight wagons, locomotives is being discussed.

Based on the bright future of CMC’s business in Iranian market, CMC management established Representative Office in Iran at the beginning of 2006, instead of project office in Tehran. CMC’s business in Iran got great achievement since then. Three contracts with separate private companies for supplying totally 178 passenger coaches were signed in May 2006. Parvadeh no.4 coal mine project will soon be awarded to CMC, upon the approval of Iranian Authority. The locomotive project will be breakthrough in near future as well.

We are confident that there will be a brilliant future for CMC’s business in Iran.
