Growth Course
In its glorious course of 58 years, China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation (hereafter referred to as CMC) as a large-scale state-owned enterprise engaged in the import& export trade of machinery products and international project contracting business，has come through the various historical periods of the growth of the national economy and made outstanding achievements. With the accumulated trade volume exceeding 85 billion USD, CMC has always been serving as a main channel for foreign trade of machinery products and making tremendous contribution to the development of the national economy.
Since 1998, CMC has come through a series of crucial development phases, including reform of the foreign trade system, alteration of the management frame and the strategic reshuffling of the enterprise. The overall operation and management frame has undergone tremendous changes and the main business has transformed from import & tendering business to import & export, and finally to international project contracting and export of large-scale complete plants.
In the face of these changes and reforms, CMC tries hard to promote the transition and upgrading of the corporate, and forms its core competitiveness in international project contracting and the export of large-scale complete plants through the successful exploitation and execution of a series of main projects. From 2003 to 2006, CMC ranked into The Top 225 International Project Contractors in succession, gradually establishing its business status globally.
